The Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) 2023 Asia Conference, made its triumphant return to Hong Kong after a 7-year hiatus. This year's conference, with the captivating theme "Architects of Asia: Building Tomorrow," gathered enthusiastic participants to delve into vital economic, political, and social issues shaping the Asia-Pacific region.
Preface is honoured to partner with HPAIR to host the AI and Leadership Development in Teens Impact Challenge this year. Our students, aged 9 to 16, had the exclusive opportunity to participate in the HPAIR 2023 Asia Conference and exchange ideas with Harvard students and global delegates to develop innovative AI-powered solutions. They not only contributed to vital discussions but also embarked on a transformative journey of global understanding and leadership development.

The 2023 HSBC NextGen Summer Summit, in partnership with HSBC Jade, marked a triumphant milestone. Across three sessions, Preface delivered cutting-edge tech education to 100 participants. The summit included an entrepreneurship talk by our Founder & CEO, Tommie Lo, and an AI-driven Hackathon. This experience showcased the potential of Generative AI and technology to revolutionise the banking landscape.
Preface partnered with K11 MUSEA to nurture artistic passion through a Creative Design Summer Adventure. Across two sessions, held in July and August, at K11 MUSEA Nature Discovery Park, students aged 6 to 15 were immersed in art exploration. They delved into impressionism, cubism, and the works of artists like Vincent van Gogh and Picasso. Beyond traditional art, the programme introduced the basics of AI, demonstrating its real-life applications. With hands-on experience, students used Midjourney for AI-generated art and RunwayML for dynamic videos with music. This partnership empowered young creatives to find their voices, bridging imagination and reality, and providing them with an introduction to the Preface Regular Programme - Creative Media Design.
Over the weekends of July 22-23 and 29-30, Preface collaborated with Central Market to transform an underground interactive wall into a STEAM Playground. The star of the show was the AI Programming Family Workshop, immersing participants in the fundamentals of computer programming through Scratch language. Families came together, shaping a future of innovation. The young minds discovered the fun of programming and laid the foundation for endless possibilities.
Preface and Crimson Education united for an enlightening Fireside Chat featuring Preface's CEO Tommie Lo and Crimson's Director of Hong Kong, Xin Er Quek. The chat explored ChatGPT's technology and its influence on higher education, from applications to major selection.
